We believe in resilience borne from service. Service unlocks tremendous opportunities for individuals to learn and grow. When one comes of age in a service driven environment where monetary rewards are limited, the stakes are enormous, information is ambiguous, and creative solutions are required, then one builds entrepreneurial muscles.

Our Philosophy

Service driven leaders discuss objectives with their hearts and minds acting as one.

They acquire critical thinking skills, humility and a passion for lifelong learning. And they take a team-of-teams approach to achieve their goals. In essence, they become highly entrepreneurial leaders that can wear many hats, rally a team, set priorities, handle pressures, and accomplish the mission over and over again. This continuous improvement mindset translates to resilience. Only one organization on Earth performs this training at scale: the U.S. military.

Today, less than 1% of the U.S. population volunteers to serve in the U.S. military.

Those who do join the mission do so in their formative years when cognitive abilities, such as decision-making and judgment, are at critical phases of development.

When accomplished and proven military leaders return to civilian life, they face an immediate translation problem.

Because the civilian-military-public service divide keeps growing, most business leaders and investors have little frame of reference for valuing their experience and the entrepreneurial environments in which they have led and operated.

We believe that backing domain-expert, resilient founders who have put service first is the best approach to early-stage investing.
