SpaceWERX: is the U.S. Space Force’s (USSF) affiliated arm of AFWERX. SpaceWERX ‘s goal is to expand “the space industrial base by forming collaborative partnerships between the military’s operational experts and the top innovators in industry and academia, leveraging commercial investment, and rapidly pursuing new space technologies.”
SpaceWERX Demonstration
As noted in a recent LinkedIn update by the SpaceWERX team;
“SpaceWERX team met with Orbital Prime awardee, Rebel Space, for a demonstration of their Sophia Security Software for Trusted Communications. Sophia is an Orbital Prime-awarded innovation supporting In-space Servicing Assembly and Manufacturing (ISAM) missions utilizing SEER technology – an AI-powered cybersecurity software that identifies, detects, protects, and responds to emerging electronic and cyber threats for space operations.
The demonstration displayed capabilities such as cyber risk management framework for space operations, threat indications and warnings using AI/ML models, and autonomous response and in-situation learning that collects and exploits data for conducting in-depth analysis.
Rebel Space will be leveraging their recent TACFI award funding to continue growing this SEER capability and provide space operators with the observability, security, and trusted autonomy necessary for resilient space operations in the space and cyber domains.”
